Abstract
The theoretical analysis for the diffracted wave from a volume hologra m stored with an irregular pattern is presented. The relative diffract ion efficiencies with respect to position and wavelength of readout wa ve are calculated by applying the Born approximation for light diffrac tion. The results are compared with experimental results and the effec ts of irregular pattern are discussed.
