Abstract
Pyridinophanes as a new class of macrocyclic neutral carriers were stu died as ionophores in PVC-based membrane electrodes. After adding a li pophilic salt as an anion blocker to the membrane we succeeded in supp ressing the anion interference and developing ion-selective electrodes for silver with excellent electrode characteristics.
