Abstract
A system for the on-line measurement and control of glucose levels in fermentation of animal cell culture was tested for long-term applicabi lity. The system consists of an aseptic sampling system, a novel type of thin-layer biosensor incorporated in a flow-injection-analysis (FIA ) system and a software package for automation of the sampling and ana lysis devices.
