Ae. Rachkov et al., METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THE DETECTION OF THE BINDING REACTION OF IMMUNOGLOBULINS, Sensors and actuators. B, Chemical, 19(1-3), 1994, pp. 610-613
A method and apparatus for the detection of the presence of an analyte
in fluid and the measurement of its concentration by means of a bioch
emical binding system have been developed. The flow-injection-analysis
cell has been constructed to detect analytes by amperometric or condu
ctometric measurement. Several electrochemically active substances hav
e been proposed as labels for the development of immunosensors: o-amin
ophenol and derivatives, and polyaniline. The acceptability of differe
nt kinds of electroactive substances, selectivity and sensitivity of s
ensor response have been studied. It has been shown that the method se
nsitivity is similar to that of ELISA; the response time is only sever
al minutes.
