Abstract
Pt-Sn supported catalysts were prepared by the sol-gel method. The sol ids were characterized by FTIR and UV-VIS spectroscopy and N2 adsorpti on analysis. The platinum showed a deformed octahedral symmetry, tendi ng to come to the surface as metallic platinum and forming small parti cles anchored to the support.
