Abstract
Spraying parameters for plasma coatings made from commercial magnetite powders of different particle size on steel and titanium substrates a re studied. On the basis of microstruture, phase composition, and bond strength as functions of the initial particle size optimum spraying p arameters are obtained for preparing magnetite coatings 300-1500 mu m thick. The results are used for spraying active layers on sheets 250 x 500 mm in size for electrodes in electrolytic water purification.
