M. Jian et al., CORRELATION OF NONINVASIVE AMBULATORY BLOOD-PRESSURE WITH SERUM C-PEPTIDE IN THE ELDERLY, American journal of noninvasive cardiology, 8(1), 1994, pp. 36-38
Eighty-three subjects aged 60 and over underwent noninvasive ambulator
y blood pressure (ABP), casual blood pressure (CBP) and serum C-peptid
e measurements. The significant correlation with C-peptide was more hi
ghly close for ABP than CBP, and among the ABP measurements, afternoon
(14:00-22:00 h) systolic blood pressure has the strongest correlation
with C-peptide (p < 0.05). We conclude that ABP is still superior to
CBP in situations where blood presure is the dependent variable and se
rum C-peptide the independent one.
