Abstract
The new 18-membered macrocyclic ligand ,6)dipyridina-3,7(1,4)dipiperaz inaoctacyclophane,+ shows an allosteric effect upon complexation with copper(I) chloride in aqueous ethanol resulting in an extraordinary co pper complex, the structure of which has been established by X-ray dif fraction analysis.
