A systematic study of the conditions of liposome preparation by the me
thod of detergent adsorption onto porysorb-I has been carried out. Opt
imum conditions have been found for production of stable liposomes wit
h a mean size exceeding 100 nm. By means of amperometric checking it h
as been shown that the liposome preparations contain two fractions wit
h different permeability. The relation between these fractions depends
on the conditions of vesicle preparation. Preference has been found i
n binding the phospholipid mixture components on the adsorbent. It is
shown that this type of liposomes could be use for measurement of the
porin content in mitochondrial membranes.
