Abstract
The flow of water and suspended fibres in a rectangular channel near a wall slot has been experimentally studied to provide results that can be used in the assessment of a proposed method for measuring the mean flexibility of a fibre suspension.The water flow and fibre motion in the vicinity of the slot have been examined and the relationship betwe en the paths followed by the fibres and the streamlines has been inves tigated.
