Su. Egelhaaf et al., UNDERSTANDING PROBLEMS FROM REAL-LIFE WITH COMPLEX FLUID PHYSICS - BIOCOLLOID STABILITY AND AGGREGATION, Helvetica Physica Acta, 67(2), 1994, pp. 233-234
Although human calcitonin (hCT) is a potential drug, an everyday admin
istration of hCT solutions is impossible because hCT aggregates within
a short time. To understand the aggregation process in more detail, w
e investigated the dominating interparticle interactions by static (SL
S) and dynamic (DLS) light scattering experiments, which were analyzed
using concepts from the theory of complex fluids.
