Abstract
Pseudopezicula tracheiphila, the causal agent of Rotbrenner on grapevi nes (Vitis vinijera), appears to be composed of two mating types which exhibit a bipolar heterothallic system. The development of apothecia in vitro is possible with crosses of two different compatible strains of the fungus on sterilized grape leaves.
