CONDUCTIVITY OF LIQUID AND SOLID TETRAALKYLAMMONIUM HYDROXIDES AND SALT HYDRATES

Stoichiometric hydrates of tetramethylammonium hydroxide and tetrameth yl- and tetraethylammonium fluorides were investigated at open circuit potential in wide temperature range using impedance spectroscopy from which the electrical conductivity of the hydrates in liquid and solid states was evaluated. These electrolytes are good solid conductors, b eing proposed as a media for electrochemical studies in temperature ra nge covering liquid and frozen state of electrolyte.
