Abstract
Statistical methods of experimental planning were used to determine th e optimum conditions for producing dissolving pulp from Hungarian whea t straw and hemp. Good fits were obtained between calculated and exper imental values for bleached pulp yields, and several polynomial models were obtained. Produced under optimum processing conditions, dissolvi ng pulps from wheat straw and hemp are suitable raw materials for prod uction of cellulose derivatives.
