Abstract
For null electromagnetic field, a class of conformally flat solutions to the Einstein-Maxwell equations is obtained. The null field is inter preted as the field due to a plane-wave with propagation vector consti tuting a geodesic, shear-free, twist-free and hypersurface orthogonal congruences.
