Abstract
The Martinez/Parks algorithm for equiripple IIR filters with unequal n umbers of poles and zeros has been modified to converge for a wider ra nge of designs, including an important extraripple case. Several desig ns are compared with respect to complexity, coefficient sensitivity, a nd group delay. The MATLAB program is available by e-mail.
