Abstract
An account of the process of transferring a large number of organic re actions from one reaction retrieval system (REACCS) to another (ORAC) is given. These systems use different external file formats. The trans lation between those formats is treated in detail for both structural and textual data. The basic attributes of an organic reaction database program are described as they are encountered within the translation process.
