Abstract
The optical properties of MnSe films are reported for films of thickne sses in the range 25-150 nm, deposited at different substrate temperat ures and of varying composition. The absorption coefficient was measur ed at 295 K over the photon energy range 1.38-3.88 eV. The absorption edge varies from 0.16 eV to 1.124 eV, depending on the substrate tempe rature and selenium content of the film.
