X-rav Photoelectron spectroscopy has been used for the study of inclus
ion compounds H2V12-xMoxO31-delta nH2O (x = 0-3.0) and H2V12-xCrxO31-d
elta nH2O (x = 0-4.0). The spectra from V2p, Mo3d, Cr2p and O1s electr
on levels have been obtained and interpreted. As is shown, chromium en
ters into the structure of polyvanadic acid in Cr and Cr3+ states, whi
le molybdenum atoms are six valent. Some increased concentration of Cr
, Mo ions and OH- - groups has been detected at xerogel surfaces.
