Abstract
The shape of the valence band electron spectra of the Fe-based alloys with a different Si, C, Ni-content has been studied. This shape shows the distribution of d-electron density of atoms and it is sensitive to the change of the chemical bond type and of the nearest Fe-atoms envi ronment. It is shown that on cooling to low-temperature the covalent c omponent prevails in the chemical bond of the atoms with 3d-electrons of Fe-participation and p-electrons of metalloids.
