Abstract
Combustion in fluorine offers a new method for the fast decomposition of several ceramic powders and sintered ceramics. The utilization of t his decomposition approach has been, investigated as an initial step i n wet chemical multi-stage procedures for elemental trace analysis of high purity ceramics. Combustion conditions, element recoveries and bl ank values from the procedure were studied.
