A. Vollekova et V. Vollek, THE EFFECT OF SOME FUNGICIDES ON MYCELIAL BIOMASS GROWTH OF THE SOIL KERATINOPHILIC FUNGI, BIOLOGIA, 48(6), 1993, pp. 611-614
The influence of four fungicidal preparations (Benlate, Calixin, Sapro
l, Fademorf EK 20) used in the plant protection against phytopathogeni
c fungi on six species of soil keratinophilic fungi (Microsporum gypse
um, Trichophyton ajelloi, T. terrestre, Ctenomyces serratus, Chrysospo
rium keratinophilum, Ch. evolceanui) in two concentrations was examine
d in vitro. The mycelial biomass growth of all species tested was comp
letely inhibited by higher concentration of Benlate, Calix and Saprol,
but only of one species by Fademorf EK 20. Four or five species teste
d were markedly inhibited also by the basic concentration (= the dose
recommended by producers for the protection of plants) of Benlate and
Calixin. The effect of Saprol in the basic concentration depended on t
he fungal species. Fademorf EK 20 in the same concentration was uneffe
ctive. Chrysosporium evolceanui and Trichophyton ajelloi as the most s
ensitive species to all fungicides tested were recongized.
