A new method of function minimization is developed and a new code (cal
led FUMIVI) is created. Its main features are: i) regular functions of
arbitrary structure can be minimized, ii) when minimizing chi2-like f
unctions or functionals of a more general case one can use the lineari
zation method, and in case of degeneration FUMIVI may automatically sw
itch to accurate calculation of the second derivatives matrix, iii) no
nlinear regular constraints of arbitrary type can be used, iv) both an
alytical and numerical calculation of the derivatives are possible. Th
e new code was extensively tested both with model and real events of t
he experiment on rare K-meson decays.
