A. Kazmierczak et al., APPLICATION OF POTENTIOMETRIC METHOD TO O PTIMIZATION OF PALLADIUM CATALYSTS COMPOSITION FOR REDUCTION OF NITROBENZENOSULFONIC ACIDS, Przemysl Chemiczny, 73(3), 1994, pp. 95-98
Catalytic properties of palladium and nickel-palladium catalysts in th
e reduction reactions of sodium salts of m-nitrobenzenosulfonic and 2-
amino-5-nitrobenzenosulfonic acids in water have been tested by the po
tentiometric method. Catalysts have been obtained by support impregnat
ion. It has been found out that the most active in both reaction was 5
% Pd/SiO2 catalyst and the optimum support was the SiO2 preparation of
neutral surface. Lower than 3% content of palladium in catalysts caus
ed significant drop in their activity. Catalysts are resistant to pois
oning by benzenosulfonic compounds, so can be used several times in aq
ueous solvents.
