CHEMISTRY OF ORGANOMETALLIC METALLACYCLIC SIDE-GROUP METAL-COMPOUNDS .9. AN UNUSUAL COORDINATION GEOMETRY OF PLATINUM(II) IN THE HOMOLEPTICMETALLACYCLOPENTANE COMPLEX [LI(PMDETA)]2PT-(CH2CH2CH2CH2)2
Ho. Frohlich et al., CHEMISTRY OF ORGANOMETALLIC METALLACYCLIC SIDE-GROUP METAL-COMPOUNDS .9. AN UNUSUAL COORDINATION GEOMETRY OF PLATINUM(II) IN THE HOMOLEPTICMETALLACYCLOPENTANE COMPLEX [LI(PMDETA)]2PT-(CH2CH2CH2CH2)2, Journal of organometallic chemistry, 471(1-2), 1994, pp. 23-27
Reaction of [Li2(Et2O)]Pt-(CH2CH2CH2CH2)2 (1) with N,N,N',N'',N''-pent
amethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA) in diethylether (Et2O) gives [Li(PM
DETA)]2Pt-(CH2CH2CH2CH2)2 (2). The complex has been characterized by D
TA analysis, H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography.
The thermal properties and the structures of 2 and [Li(TMEDA)]2Pt-(CH2
CH2CH2CH2)2 (3) indicate the significant difference of the influence o
f PMDETA and N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine (TMEDA) on the plati
nacyclopentane system.
