Abstract
Pentafluorophenylthiohydantoin (PFPTH) derivatives of adducts formed w ith dl-valine by both acrylonitrile and its putative metabolite, cyano ethylene oxide have been syntbesised, the latter via conjugate additio n of dl-valine to phenyl vinyl sulfoxide and subsequent Pummerer rearr angement and hydrolysis.
