Abstract
The strong relationship between the Lorenz and Scaled Total Time-On-Te st transform curves allows measures devised separately for the fields of economics & reliability to be applied to the other field as well. T his article shows that, more accurately, the Gini-index and Pietra-rat io can be useful in reliability analysis and that several other questi ons remain to be explored. Associated graphical methods can be very us eful within an integrated approach. A user-friendly computer software developed by the authors is useful to theoreticians & practitioners al ike.
