Abstract
AgI and Ag2S are well studied superionic conductors which undergo a fi rst order phase transition. By comparing the theoretical and experimen tal values of the discontinuous entropy change at the transition tempe rature it is possible to find the nature of correlated motions of Ag i ons in the conductive phase right above the transition temperature.
