DIAGNOSIS OF COMBINED MYCOTIC INVOLVEMENT OF THE DIGESTIVE ORGANS ANDGENITALS IN WOMEN

Altogether 212 women of a reproductive age suffering from chronic cand idal infection of the genitals were examined. Genital candidiasis pres ented as a mixed form of infection in the overwhelming majority of cas es. Diseases of the digestive system were detected in 97 patients, in three of these esophageal candidiasis was revealed. General clinical t ests were used, as were specialized methods (endoscopy, histology, cyt ology, culturing). Hence, genital candidiasis and diseases of the dige stive system are characterized by common risk factors and pathogenetic prerequisites.
