The authors analyze the results of therapy of 18 patients with general
ized (granulomatous) candidiasis with a new antifungal drug diflucan c
ombined with other agents. Daily dose of the drug was 50 to 200 mg. Th
e mean duration of a course was 2 months. A follow-up demonstrated a h
igh therapeutic efficacy of diflucan; a stable remission can be attain
ed only after a sufficiently long course of therapy (6-12 months).
