Abstract
The authors present clinical characteristics of fungal (candidal) meni ngitides in newborns and compare the efficacies of sanitizing action o f amphotericin B, diflucan, and their combinations. Combination of the two drugs helped attain the best clinical effect. The authors claim t hat the commonly used daily diflucan dose 10 mg/kg is insufficient for the treatment of fungal meningitis in the newborns.
