Skin and vascular functions have been studied in 143 miners of deep co
al mines suffering from various clinical forms of mycoses of the soles
. Under study were skin temperature topography, thermoregulation refle
xes to heat and cold stimulants, rheovasographic values. The study has
revealed gross functional neurovascular disorders, disturbances of th
e regulatory mechanisms in thermoregulation autonomic centers, periphe
ral circulation dysfunction, this being associated with a severe cours
e of mycoses involving the nail plates, with pyococcal complications a
nd allergic manifestations. The detected changes may be explained by a
dverse occupational factors in deep coal mines and necessitate develop
ment of comprehensive corrective therapy and prevention of mycoses.
