Abstract
Electrode properties of mischmetal based alloys such as cycle life, ra te capability, passivation and charging efficiency are closely related with the metallurgical macro- and micro-structure and chemical stabil ity of the component elements. The roles of added Co, Mn and Al in the alloys are discussed.
