Presented below are the X-ray image streak techniques used to study th
e spectral- and spectral-spatial time behavior of the ISKRA-5 facility
laser-irradiated target X-ray radiation. For this purpose, we develop
ed several 0.1 - 10 keV range X-ray slit streak cameras with 3 x 10(-1
1)-s time resolution. Our X-ray imaging layout made it possible to sim
ultaneously project several target images (in different spectral inter
vals) to the photocathode and streak them synchroniously. These techni
ques made it possible to: study the microsphere target and plasma coro
na implosion dynamics; investigate the wall-adjacent plasma electron t
emperature behavior; determine the compressed core lifetime; and monit
or the state of the external (non-irradiated) target surface.
