Kinetics of thermal dehydroxylation of fire clay which is mainly disor
dered kaolinite, have been studied as a function of compaction of the
loose aggregates. Kinetic parameters have been correlated with the pre
ssure of pelletisation and also the disorderness inherent in the cryst
al structure.
