Abstract
Aminolysis and ammonolysis reactions of beta-ketoesters catalyzed by C andida antarctica lipase ar e very efficient methods for the preparati on of beta-ketoamides. When racemic amines are used in these precesses , the corresponding optically active beta-ketoamides are obtained with moderate-high enantiomeric excesses.
