Abstract
A new species of Bretzia is described from eastcentral Nebraska and so utheastern South Dakota. Both localities in the Great Plains are lates t Pleistocene or earliest Holocene in age. Bretzia is previously known only from Blancan-aged (Pliocene) sediments. in Washington and Califo rnia. New specimens of Bretzia described here extend both the temporal and geographic range of this rare cervid.
