Abstract
Through adsorption on polythene, separation of Au-199 from neutron irr adiated platinum has been studied. Distribution coefficients for Au an d Pt have been obtained at various acid concentrations. The results ha ve been used to develop a simple and rapid method for preparation of h igh specific activity Au-199. The losses are almost-equal-to 10%.
