Abstract
In vivo N-15 NMR spectra of N-15-labelled Datura stramonium and Nicoti ana tabacum transformed root cultures have been obtained. It is shown for the first time that nitrogenous secondary metabolites can be detec ted using in vivo N-15 NMR, and that information can be deduced on the subcellular distribution of nicotine.
