Abstract
A new germacranolide has been isolated from the acetone extract of Bla invillea latifolia along with a known sesquiterpene lactone. The struc ture of the new compound has been established by spectral methods and chemical correlation with 10-acetoxymethyl-9 beta-hydroxy-8 beta-(2-me thylbutyryloxy)-germacradien-6,7-olide.
