Abstract
The diterpenes 6 alpha,7 beta-dihydroxyvouacapan-17 beta-oic acid, met hyl 6 alpha-acetoxy-7 beta-hpdroxyvouacapan-17 beta-oate and the new o ne 6 alpha-hydroxy-7 beta-acetoxyvouacap-14(17)-ene were isolated from the ethanolic extract of the fruits of Pterodon polygalaeflorus. The structures of these compounds were deduced by spectroscopic studies, m ainly H-1 and C-13 NMR, including 2D experiments.
