Abstract
One new and six known lignans, as well as sideritoflavone and rosmarin ic acid were isolated from Hyptis verticillata. The new lignan, hyptin in, was fully characterized by spectroscopic methods (UV, H-1, C-13 NM R, MS, IR, CD). The known lignans were identified as dehydropodophyllo toxin, dehydrodesoxypodophyllotoxin, 4'-demethyldesoxypodophyllotoxin, podophyllotoxin, podorhizol and epipodorhizol.
