Jj. Rack et al., INFRARED AND MANOMETRIC EVIDENCE FOR THE FORMATION OF THE [AG(CO)3]+ COMPLEX ION AT HIGH P(CO), Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications, (6), 1994, pp. 685-686
At high pressures of CO, the Ag+ salt of the weakly coordinating anion
[Nb(OTeF5)6]- takes up three equiv. CO reversibly both in the solid s
tate and in 1,1,2-C2Cl3F3 solution; the CO ligands can be removed from
[Ag(CO)3][Nb(OTeF5)6] under vacuum at 25-degrees-C but none are remov
ed at -78-degrees-C; IR v(CO) values are 2192 cm-1 for [Ag(CO)3]+, 219
8 cm-1 for [Ag(CO)2]+, and 2208 cm-1 for [AgCO]+.
