Abstract
A highly regioselective, environmentally safe and economical method fo r oxybromination of both protected and unprotected anilines and phenol s is possible through electrophilic substitution of bromine generated in situ from KBr using ammonium molybdate as a catalyst and H2O2 as a reoxidant for the first time.
