Abstract
The ice growth inhibitory mechanism of antifreeze glycopeptides is ana lyzed. According to the kinetic theory of the thermal hysteresis of a macromolecule solution, we have deduced the relationship between the m olecular weight of the ice growth inhibitor and thermal hysteresis (th e difference between ice crystals growing point and melting point). Th e result is consistent with experimental data.
