Abstract
An econometric model has been used in a disaggregated approach to stud y the effect of energy demand for the Manufacturing Sector (1960-1987) and Domestic sector (1970-1987) respectively. The chosen model in eac h sector exhibits highly statistical significant coefficients for GDP, output, disposable income and energy price determinants. The GDP inco me elasticity was shown to be prominent in all models. The chosen mode l for each sector exhibited good predictive ability suggesting that it could be used for forecasting.
