YBa2Cu3O7-x, thin films have been irradiated with gamma rays to a tota
l dose of 100 krad while the films were held at 77 K. For a 1 X 1 mm2
pattern there was no change either in transition width or in low-frequ
ency noise; thus, high-T(c), bolometers made with such films will be r
obust with respect to this level of gamma rays. For a 3 X 10 mm2 film,
which has a lower noise level, there was a change in the slope of noi
se versus frequency, suggesting a nonthermal origin for the excess noi
se.
