Abstract
On the basis of two cases the differences between the plaque-like vari ant of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (PDFSP) and the plaque-like der mal fibromatosis (synonym: dermatomyofibroma; PDF) are presented. PDFS P and PDF are two clinically very similar dermal fibrous proliferation s, but differentiation is important because of their different therapy and prognosis. Histologically and immunohistochemically PDFSP and PDF can be recognized as separate entities.
