Abstract
The Belousov-Zhabotinsky reagent and numerical simulations were used t o show that under high-frequency stimuli, rotating spiral waves can be initiated in a homogeneous excitable medium in the vicinity of domain boundaries or inexcitable barriers with sharp corners.
