Nd. Whitbread et Pn. Robson, THEORETICAL-ANALYSIS OF PASSIVE VISIBLE SURFACE-EMITTING 2ND-HARMONICGENERATORS, IEEE journal of quantum electronics, 30(1), 1994, pp. 139-147
A method of analysing passive surface-emitting second-harmonic generat
ors is presented. The analysis takes into account multiple reflections
of the second-harmonic light that occur at material interfaces within
the device structure. Calculations are performed to investigate the p
roperties of AlGaAs/GaAs coherent green surface-emitting generators. T
he effects that substrate orientation have on the efficiency of these
devices is discussed in detail. Enhancements to efficiency brought abo
ut by the application of impedance matching considerations are discuss
ed.
